Petra Christian University Library once again became a lively and joyful learning space through the event “Early Childhood Learning Media Exhibition: Fun Learning, Advancing Literacy.” This exhibition showcased a variety of educational play tools created by students of the Early Childhood Education (PGPAUD) Study Program, designed to support creative and interactive learning for young children.
The exhibition invited preschool students from nearby schools to visit the library and take part in hands-on learning experiences. In a child-friendly atmosphere, participants were encouraged to learn through play using various learning media that stimulate motor skills, cognitive development, language abilities, and basic literacy. Each educational tool was designed not only to be visually engaging but also to carry clear learning objectives.
Through this event, the library served as an inclusive and welcoming literacy space for children from an early age. The children were introduced to the library not only as a place for books, but also as a safe and enjoyable environment for exploring knowledge. At the same time, PGPAUD students were given the opportunity to implement their learning concepts directly in a real educational setting.
This exhibition reflects a meaningful collaboration between the library and the academic community in supporting early childhood literacy development. It is hoped that the event will help foster a love for learning from an early age, strengthen literacy culture, and introduce the library as an important partner in children’s education.
With the spirit of fun learning and advancing literacy, Petra Christian University Library remains committed to presenting educational programs that create positive and lasting impacts for the community, especially for future generations.
