ArchFest 2025 – Threads of Time: Weaving Heritage into Function

PCU Library is proud to support Architecture Festival (ArchFest) 2025, an international architectural design competition organized annually by the Architecture Department of Petra Christian University. This year marks the 18th ArchFest, and the theme is “Threads of Time: Weaving Heritage into Function.”

The theme invites students from around the world to rethink how old buildings, especially in Kota Lama Surabaya, can be reused with new functions while still preserving their cultural and historical value. Through the concept of adaptive reuse, young architects are encouraged to create designs that are modern, creative, and relevant but still respect the past.

By becoming the official venue partner, PCU Library helps support this meaningful event by providing a space for students and the academic community to explore the relationship between architecture, culture, and history. This collaboration shows PCU Library’s commitment not only to knowledge and learning but also to celebrating creativity and preserving heritage for future generations.
